How to pronounce the M and N in English

Do these sound the same to you?  Them- then, lime- line, knob- mob

The M and the N are both nasal consonants, but confusing them completely changes the meaning.

M

1. Longer 

2. Lips pull together inward

3. The body of the tongue pushes up, almost touching the upper palate for nasal quality, but the tip stays behind bottom front teeth

4. Air comes through the nose

N

1.Short and quicker

2. Lips are relaxed ( slightly open)

3. The tip of the tongue pushes up behind top, front teeth and pushes to create nasal sound.
