 Entrepreneur

/äntrəprə.nər/

Let’s break it down. This word has 4 syllables.

AHN-CHRUH-PRUH-NUR

  1. En =  ahn. Open your mouth wide like a yawn.

  2. Tre- = chruh. Put the tip of your tongue up, then bring it to the middle quickly and push out your lips. Think of the sound of a “cho cho train”.

  3. Pre = pruh. Put your lips together in a circle for the /p/ +/r/ consonant cluster then release with a small puff of air.

  4. Neur= nur. Forget the vowel sounds and just transition from the /n/ to the /r/. Start with your tongue up and then push your lips out.

That’s it! Now you can introduce yourself as an “entrepreneur” with confidence and clarity!
